Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning device capable of detecting internal temperature thereof by installing a temperature sensing element on a substrate externally mounted on the optical scanning device.SOLUTION: An optical scanning device includes; a light source which emits a light beam; a rotary polygon mirror 42 which deflects the light beam emitted from the light source to scan a photosensitive drum 80 with the light beam; an optical box 49 having a bottom section on which the rotary polygon mirror 42 is mounted and side walls erected from the bottom section; a thermistor 56 for sensing temperature; and a CK laser substrate 54 which has the light source mounted thereon and is mounted on the side wall outside the optical box 49. The thermistor 56 is mounted on a side of the CK laser substrate 54 facing the side wall. The optical box 49 is provided with a light guide 51 for exposing the thermistor 56 to a space inside the optical box 49, located at a position facing the thermistor 56 mounted on the CK laser substrate 54 on the side wall.
