Abstract:
To reduce the vibration noises of a cover when a rotary polygon mirror is rotated.
A cover 10 for covering the periphery of a rotary polygon mirror 3 and a base part 3c of a motor 3b for rotating the rotary polygon mirror 3 are individually supported on a supporting board 8 fixed to a stay 7 of the image forming device. Since the vibration of the motor 3b is attenuated by the supporting board 8 and propagated to the cover 10 later, in comparison with the case of directly fitting the cover 10 to the base part 3c, the vibrations noises of the cover 10 can be remarkably reduced.
