Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an optical shutter array which can obtain a uniform transmitted light quantity distribution. CONSTITUTION:Part of the transmission surface 23a of an optical shutter part 23 that exceeds a specific transmitted light quantity range of practically uniform handling is irradiated with laser beam to trim the part. No light is transmitted through the trimmed part 60, so the quantity of transmitted light of the optical shutter part 23 decreases. Respective shutter parts 23 become uniform in the quantity of transmitted light by making the trimmed part wide as the quantity by which the specific transmitted light quantity range is exceeded is increased. Further, similar operation and effect can be obtained by decreasing the area of individual electrodes 29 corresponding to the optical shutter parts 23 exceeding the specific transmitted light quantity range and/or a common electrode 27.
