Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an optical system that offers a wide view angle, compactness, and high optical performance; an image capturing device having the same; and a manufacturing method for such an optical system.SOLUTION: An optical system comprises a first lens group, and a second lens group having positive refractive power arranged in order from the object side along an optical axis, where the first lens group includes, in order from the object side along the optical axis, two negative lens components and a positive lens component located on the image side from the two negative lens components, and where the second lens group comprises a first lens subgroup comprising a positive lens and negative lens and having positive refractive power as a whole and a second lens subgroup which includes a cemented lens, a cemented negative lens located on the image side from the cemented lens and having a convex surface on the object side, and another cemented lens located on the image side from the cemented negative lens and comprising positive lenses or positive and negative lenses cemented together. An air gap distance between the first lens group and the second lens group changes while shifting focus from an object at infinity to an object at a short distance. The optical system satisfies a predetermined condition.
