Abstract:
To provide an optical system and a polarization degree measurement unit which detect fluorescence polarization.SOLUTION: The optical system comprises: a polarization beam emission unit 10 emitting polarized light; a sample base including a sample chamber storing a sample; a splitter 34 dividing induced fluorescence passing through a pinhole into horizontal polarization induced fluorescence and vertical polarization induced fluorescence; and two photoelectric detectors 31 accepting the horizontal polarization induced fluorescence and the vertical polarization induced fluorescence. The optical system detecting fluorescence polarization includes the splitter 34 and the two photoelectric detectors 31 which are integrated in compact size, is applicable for detecting fluorescence polarization of the sample on site, and can measure fluorescence polarization easily and accurately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
