Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the attachment of optical fiber by arranging a plurality of optical thyristor stacks so that their conducting directions are in parallel to each other, and their cathode sides are aligned in the same direction.
CONSTITUTION: In a stack S-1, an optical thyristor P-1 is held by cooling fins 4-1 and 4-2 which cool the optical thyristor P-1, output terminals 5-1 and 5-2 are arranged, and studs 6-1 and 6-2 are provided to fix the stack. The optical fiber 8-1 which transmits the optical signal is inserted from the top cathode side. The stacks S-1WS-3 are mounted on an insulating plate 9. The stacks S-1, S-2, and S-3 are connected in series by connecting pieces 7-1 and 7-2.
