Title:
OPTICAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3811332
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an economical optical transmission system in which three or more services can be flexibly added and multiplexed and further the efficiency of a band can be improved.
SOLUTION: In this optical transmission system which respectively allocates wavelengths to a service and a user and performs wavelength division multiplex transmission through on optical fiber, wavelengths respectively allocated to three or more services and users are defined in the same wavelength band, a light source for outputting the signal light of each wavelength, a constitution in which an optical multiplexer and demultiplexer used for wavelength multiplex separation does not perform, wavelength control is adopted, and a wavelength band allocated to each service and user and an unallocated wavelength band are set in a range that it not affected by the temperature fluctuation of the oscillation wavelength of a light source.
