The optical transmitter 100 has: a VCSEL (vertical cavity surface emitting laser) 120 emitting light; a substrate 110 for mounting the VCSEL; and an optical waveguide 140 disposed to face the VCSEL 120, and receiving the incidence of light emitted from the VCSEL, from a reflecting surface 146A and transmitting the incident light. A conductive film 150 is formed on a main surface, facing the VCSEL 120, of the optical waveguide 140, and the conductive film 150 is electrically connected to reference potential through a conductive adhesive 132 and a mounter 130.
