Abstract:

To provide an optical transmitter with an electrostatic countermeasure taken for an optical transmission member and to provide an optical receiver, an optical transceiver and an optical communication system.

The optical transmitter 100 has: a VCSEL (vertical cavity surface emitting laser) 120 emitting light; a substrate 110 for mounting the VCSEL; and an optical waveguide 140 disposed to face the VCSEL 120, and receiving the incidence of light emitted from the VCSEL, from a reflecting surface 146A and transmitting the incident light. A conductive film 150 is formed on a main surface, facing the VCSEL 120, of the optical waveguide 140, and the conductive film 150 is electrically connected to reference potential through a conductive adhesive 132 and a mounter 130.
