To obtain an optical waveguide and a method for manufacturing an optical waveguide by which a cured product with excellent pattern accuracy or the like is obtained.
In the optical waveguide having a lower clad layer, a core part and an upper clad layer, at least one of the lower clad layer, the core part and the upper clad layer consists of a cured product of a radiation-curing resin composition containing the following components (A) to (C). The components are (A) at least one compound selected from a group consisting of hydrolyzable silane compounds expressed by general formula (1): (R1)pSi(X)4- p, hydrolyzed products and condensed products thereof; (B) a hydrolyzable silyl group-containing vinyl polymer and (C) a photoacid generating agent. In formula (1), R1 represents a 1-12C non-hydrolyzable organic group, X represents a hydrolyzable group and p represents an integer from 0 to 3.
