Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct variation of density according to a position in a main scanning direction without increasing a time required for density correction processing.SOLUTION: Light emission of a LEDA 130 is so controlled that as a correction pattern for correcting a density of an image, a pattern, in which plural different colors are arranged in parallel to one another at the same position in a sub-scanning direction and at different positions in a main scanning direction, is drawn. Patches 601, 602 for main scanning density off-set calculation of plural images, which are arranged at a same position in the sub-scanning direction and at different positions in the main scanning direction and are so formed that the same density is intended, respectively calculate a main scanning density off-set value which indicates a difference in densities according to a difference in positions in the main scanning position on the basis of a detection signal detected by a sensor, and calculate a correction value according to positions in the main scanning direction on the basis of the main scanning off-set value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
