Title:
OPTICAL WRITING DEVICE FOR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6163870
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase a printing speed without boosting the driving voltage of light emitting elements by arranging plural light emitting arrays and exposing the same position of a photosensitive body plural times.

CONSTITUTION: Three light emitting diode arrays 10aW10c each of which arranges plural GaAsP light emitting diodes like a string are arranged in paral lel as a light source 10. Each light emitting diode array is constituted by connecting 64 monolithic chips arranging light emitting diodes at the density of 32 dots/chip and 9.45 dots/mm, and as a whole, 2,048 light emitting diodes are mounted on a string of the light emitting diode array. Namely, the length of the light source is 217mm and printing paper of A4 size can be adopted. Convergent rod lens arrays 11 are arranged between the light source 10 and a photosensitive drum 2 so that light rays from respective light emitting diode arrays 10aW10c are formed on picture element points 12aW12c arranged on the photosensitive drum 2 every 1mm interval.
