PURPOSE: To make the correction of a character pattern easy, by reading a character pattern stored in a character pattern storage file and providing a character pattern control sentence forming device which forms the control sentence of a character forming utility.
CONSTITUTION: A character pattern on a display 2 is stored in a character pattern storage file 7, an ADJUST character pattern control sentence converting program 8 is executed, and the ADJUST character pattern control sentence corresponding to the character pattern of the file 7 is formed. Further, the ADJUST character pattern control sentence to be formed is stored in a control sentence file 3. Next, an ADJUST character pattern utility 4 is executed to form the character pattern corresponding to the control sentence of the file 3. This formed character pattern is registrated to a small character pattern library 5 together with the character code and the registrated character pattern is printed on an output paper 6 with a Japanese language line printer.
