Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an optoelectronic device which enables optical interconnection of integrated circuits which improves the signal quality.
CONSTITUTION: An optoelectronic transmitter responds to an electric driving signal from a first integrated circuit to modulate the light beam emitted from a first photon device 406 of the optoelectronic transmitter, and this modulated light beam is received on a second photon device 408 by a hologram integrated with the second photon device 408 of an optoelectronic receiver to generate a response electric signal, and the optoelectronic receiver transfers the response electric signal to a second integrated circuit 204, thus enabling optical interconnection of the first and second integrated circuits 202 and 204.
