Abstract:

To provide a oral fluid sample collector for home use and a mail assembly for sending a collected sample to a laboratory.

A reagent stopper includes an inspection part containing a suction cotton pad. The suction cotton pad can be placed on the tongue in mouth in order to collect an oral fluid sample. A plastic frame surrounds the pad and serves to hold the fluid thereon. The inspection strip comprises a sealing unit for fitting the strip, while sealing, to a preservative pouch 60 at the opposite end, and a relatively large handle having a patient identification mechanism. The preservative pouch has a pair of seals 62, 63. The preservative held in the pouch is sealed by means of a first seal closer to a user when the pouch is carried to a user.
