PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition so stabilized as to be adequately practicable even in terms of cost by formulating a low-melting fatty oil-like substance in a preparation containing a compound such as a benzimidazole-7- carboxylic acid compound having anti-A II activity useful for hypertension or congestive heart failure.
CONSTITUTION: The objective oral medicine composition can be obtained by formulating (A) a compound of formula I [ring W is (substituted) nitrogen-contg. heterocyclic residue; R3 is anion-forming group; X is direct bond or bond through a spacer ≤2 in the number of atom(s) between phenylene and phenyl groups; n is 1 or 2] with (B) a low-melting fatty oil-like substance (pref. 20-60°C in melting point, such as an alkylene oxide polymer). The amount of the component B to be formulated is such as to be 1-10 (pref 2-5)wt.%. This composition suppressed with its decomposition with time due to tableting can be made into stable pharmaceutical preparations. Of the compounds of the formula I, it is preferable that W be a group of formula II (A is benzene; R1 is H, etc.; R2 is COOH; Y is O, etc.).
