Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of noise by composing a compensation electrode with specific substance.

CONSTITUTION: A compensation electrode is composed of substance having specific gravity of 2.7 or more (18°C) and rigidity of 0.27×106kg/cm2 or more (18°C). A back 12, facing a transparent first electrode 15 with an electric field luminous layer 14 nipped between them and the compensation electrode 11a, facing the back plate 12 with an insulation material nipped between them are provided, the first electrode 15 and the compensation electrode 11a are electrically connected together to be made one electrode, and the compensation electrode is composed of a specific substance. This causes vibration, generated in the first electrode 15 and the back plate 12, to be effectively absorbed by vibration, produced in the back plate 12 and the compensation electrode 11a, to make an EL element vibrationless, and consequently noise can be prevented.
