Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the securing of brightness and improvement in contrast ratio by reduction in external light reflection in an organic EL display device.SOLUTION: An organic EL display device includes a wavelength-selective absorption filter which absorbs light through a uniform predetermined absorption spectrum 52 in a display area. The absorption spectrum 52 has a negative correlation with an emission spectrum 48 obtained by synthesizing respective spectra of an R pixel, a G pixel and a B pixel. Specially, in the absorption spectrum 52, mountain parts are set corresponding to trough parts of a light emission spectrum of an OLED generated between a B color and a G color.
