Abstract:
To prevent carrier leakage between adjacent pixels in an organic EL display.SOLUTION: An organic EL display comprises: a substrate; a plurality of pixels located on the substrate; bottom electrodes included in the plurality of pixels; banks partitioning the plurality of pixels; an organic material layer arranged on the bottom electrodes and on the banks and including a plurality of layers; and an upper electrode arranged on the organic material layer. A partial layer of the organic material layer is formed with an absent area that is segmented or has a smaller thickness than that of the other portion, and the absent area is formed in at least part of an effective area of the pixels surrounded by the banks.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
