To solve the problem in the configuration in which each subpixel arranges light emitting elements of the same color on the light extraction side of a base, wherein a color shift occurs in color emission from light emitting elements of the same color between subpixels and the light emission efficiency of the light emitting elements arranged on a lower layer deteriorates owing to absorption when light emitted from one light emitting element passes through another light emitting element existing in the path of the light, resulting in a rise in the power consumption required per pixel to achieve the same brightness.
This organic EL display includes at least one or more pixels. The pixel is composed of a first subpixel and a second subpixel. The first subpixel and the second subpixel differ in the number of light emitting elements each of which includes an organic layer including at least a light emitting layer, sandwiched between electrodes.
