To provide an organic electric field light emitting element that may be driven with a lower drive voltage and assures operation life of the element in higher luminance.
The organic electric field light emitting element is constituted with a single organic compound layer or a plurality of organic compound layers held between a pair of electrodes where one is a transparent or a semi-transparent electrode. In this organic electric field light emitting element, a layer including charge transportable polyester formed in a repetition unit including at least a kind of structure selected from diarylamine structures is provided in contact with one electrode, and difference between ionization potential of the charge transportable polyester included in the layer in contact with one electrode and a work function of one electrode surface is within the range of 0 to 0.7 eV.
