Title:
ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENCE ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007220721
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an organic electroluminescence element assuring higher light emitting efficiency for reducing leak of energy to a peripheral layer other than the light emitting layer.

The organic electroluminescence element 1 includes an anode 20, a first layer 32, a second layer 34, a light emitting layer 40 containing a host compound and phosphorescence emitting dopant, and a cathode 50 in this sequence. Further, the element satisfies the relations of TD+0.10 eV≤Th1, TD+0.10 eV≤Th2, and TD+0.10 eV≤TH, when the lowest excitation triplet energy level of the first layer 32 is defined as Th1, the lowest excitation triplet energy level of the second layer 34 as Th2, the lowest excitation triplet energy level of the host compound as TH, and the lowest excitation triplet energy level of the phosphorescence emitting dopant as TD.
