To provide an organic electroluminescent element that has superior light emission efficiency, and is low in driving voltage and superior in durability.
A light emitting organic thin film contains a compound represented by at least one formula (PQ-1) and a compound represented by at least one formula (BN-1). In the formula (PQ-1), Ra, Rb and Rc each independently represent a hydrogen atom or alkyl group and while one of Ra, Rb and Rc represents a hydrogen atom, the remaining two represent the alkyl group. R1to R5each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a fluorine atom, or a cyano group. RX and RY each independently represent an alkyl group or phenyl group. In the formula (BN-1), Ar1represents an arylene group which may have a substituent Z. Ar2represents a condensed hydrocarbon group which may have a substituent. R101to R113each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, or a phenyl group which may have a substituent. The substituent Z represents an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a phenyl group, an aromatic heterocycle group, an alkoxy group, a phenoxy group, a fluorine atom, a silyl group, an amino group, a cyano group, or a group formed by combining them, and a plurality of substituents Z may be combined with each other to form an aryl ring.
