Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R is H, lower alkyl or phenyl).

USE: An antitumor agent.

PREPARATION: An unsaturated compound of formula II (e.g. 2-acetoaminoacrylic acid) is reacted with a halide of formula:HGeX3 (X is halogen) (e.g. trichlorogermanium) to prepare a trihalogeno compound of formula III, which is reacted with hydrogen sulfide to provide the compound of formula I.
