Title:
ORGANIC GLASS FOR HIGHLY REFRACTIVE OPTICAL MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3573353
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject glass excellent in impact resistance and transparency and useful as lenses, etc., of eyeglasses by copolymerizing raw materials containing diallyl terephthalate, etc., and a specific bromine-containing allyl ester oligomer and prepared so as to provide a prescribed viscosity and a prescribed refractive index.
CONSTITUTION: This glass is obtained by copolymerizing a raw material which is a bromine-containing allyl ester oligomer, having a structure expressed by the formula [A is 1-20C bivalent organic residue; B is bivalent organic residue derived from a diol having one or more bromines; (n) is 1-20], containing diallyl terephthalate monomer and/or diallyl isophthalate monomer and/or diallyl phthalate monomer and prepared so as to provide 50-2000 cP viscosity at 30°C and 1.53-1.58 refractive index.
