Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an organic glass containing neither a halogen element nor a sulfur compound, having lower specific gravity and a higher refractive index than conventional organic glasses, and excellent in impact resistance.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material having a viscosity at 30°C of 20-8,000 cP is polymerized This material contains the component (a) and (b) as shown below. The compound (a) is at least one member selected from allyl phenylacetate, allyl diphenylacetate and allyl triphenylacetate. The compound (b) is at least one member selected from diallyl phthalate, diallyl phthalate prepolymer, diallyl adipate, triallyl isocyanurate, etc.
