Title:
ORGANIC HALOGEN COMPOUND DISPOSAL PROCESSING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2010233873
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a system to make highly harmless organic halogen compounds included in insulating oils or the like used in the transformers installed on column tops.

A hydrogen donor such as isopropyl alcohol, and an alkaline compound are added to the insulating oil where a very small amount of the organic halogen compounds are mixed in, and they are made into contact with a metal-carrying carbon-based catalyst while being irradiated by microwaves to decompose the organic halogen compounds until their concentration becomes lower than the standard disposal concentration. Then, after the decomposition treatment, the processed liquid is distilled to more condense the organic halogen compounds in the distilled residue, and further decompose them in a similar way. This can make the organic halogen compounds in the insulating oils highly harmless.
