Abstract:
To provide an organic-inorganic composite optical material having good dispersed state of the organic component and the inorganic component and excellent optical characteristics; and to provide an optical element.
The organic-inorganic composite optical material comprises an inorganic polymer obtained by polycondensation of an organic macromolecular material with a metal alkoxide compound, and the metal alkoxide contains a functional group capable of forming a chemical bond with the organic macromolecular material, or with a monomer or oligomer forming the organic macromolecular material.
