Abstract:

To provide an organic-inorganic hybrid material endowed with both heat resistance and flexibility and exhibiting a small volume shrinkage even after a long-term use, and a manufacturing method thereof.

The organic-inorganic hybrid material is obtained by a reaction of an inorganic skeleton component comprised of an organoalkoxysilane polymer, a bifunctional alkoxide and a titanium alkoxide, an organic skeleton component comprised of a dialkylsiloxane bearing a terminal silanol, and water, and has a heat-resistant temperature of 300°C or higher, a rubber hardness of at most A80/15 after a 320°C heat treatment for 3 days, and a weight loss of at most 40 wt% after a 300°C heat treatment for 1 week.
