To provide an organic-inorganic laminar perovskite type compound with high applicability and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a laminar perovskite type compound in which an organic layer containing a silsesquioxane compound represented by formula (I') and an inorganic layer containing a copper halide anion represented by formula (II) exist alternately.
