To provide a lithium electrochemical battery capable of reducing or removing voltage delay in current pulse discharge.

This electrochemical battery consists of a) an anode made of an alkali metal, b) a solid cathode made of a conductive material, and c) a nonaqueous electrolyte for activating the anode and the cathode, and the nonaqueous electrolyte consists of i) a first solvent selected from an ester, a ether, dialkyl carbonate, and a mixture of them, ii) a second solvent selected from a cyclic carbonate, a cyclic ester, a cyclic amide, and a mixture of them, iii) a nitride additive, and iv) an alkali metal salt dissolved in the solvent, and the alkali metal of the alkali metal salt is the same as or similar to the alkali metal constituting the anode.
