CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive layer contg. the org. photoconductor expressed by the formula is provided on a conductive base. In the formula, R1 denotes a substd. or unsubstd. aralkyl group, etc., R11, R12 respectively denote a hydrogen atom, etc., and A denotes a coupler component having an arom. characteristic. Said disazo pigments are usable by combining 1 or ≥2 kinds and are synthesized by tetrazonizing diamine and subjecting the corresponding coupler to a coupling, etc., in the presence of an alkali. The photosensitive layer is functionally separated to an electric charge generating layer and charge transfer layer and the org. photoconductor expressed by the formula is used for the charge generating material. The charge generating layer contains the org. photoconductor as much as possible in order to have substantial light absorptivity and is made into the thinner film layer in order to shorten the range of the generated charge carrier.
