Title:
ORGANIC SILICON POLYMER AND PRODUCTION OF CERAMIC USING THE POLYMER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3126838
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce the ceramics having excellent formability in high yield and efficiency by heat-treating a specific organic silicon polymer in an inert atmosphere at a prescribed temperature or above.
CONSTITUTION: A vinylsilane compound such as vinylmethyldichlorosilane is added to (A) a 1-silyl-2-silylethane compound of formula I [R1 to R4 are (substituted) alkyl], e.g. 1,2-bis (chlorodimethylsilyl) ethane and/or (B) a 1-silyl-2- silylethylene compound of formula II [R5 to R8 are (substituted) alkyl], e.g. 1,2-bis(chlorodimethylsilyl)ethylene and polymerized in the presence of an alkali metal to obtain an organic silicon polymer. The objective ceramic can be produced by heat-treating the organic silicon polymer in an inert atmosphere at ≥1000°C. The molar ratio of (the components A and/or B)/(the vinylsilane compound) is preferably 20/1 to 3/2.
