Title:
ORGANIC SOLVENT SLURRY CONTAINING PARTICULATE INORGANIC SUBSTANCE FOR CELLULOSE ACETATE AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1181034
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject organic slurry not causing the breakage of a fiber on its spinning, excellent in the stability of the spinning, and giving the fiber provided with prescribed fiber physical properties by controlling the maximum particle diameter of the aggregates of a particulate inorganic substance having an average primary particle diameter of a prescribed value or smaller to a specific value or smaller. SOLUTION: This organic solvent slurry is obtained by dispersing a particulate inorganic substance used for addition to cellulose acetate fibers and having an average primary particle diameter of <=1.0 μm, preferably <=0.3 μm, such as titanium dioxide, zinc oxide or barium sulfate particles, in an organic solvent such as acetone, methylene dichloride or methanol in a concentration of 6-75 wt.%, preferably 10-70 wt.%. Therein, the maximum particle diameter of the aggregates of the particulate inorganic substance is <=3.0 μm. The slurry preferably further contains a low mol.wt. surfactant, a polymer surfactant or a fiber- forming polymer, and is preferably dispersed by the use of an inner rotary mill in which ceramic beads such as zirconia beads are charged in an amount of 55-85 wt.%.
