Abstract:
Provided is an organic thin-film transistor in which a substrate is provided with an organic semiconductor layer, an insulation layer, and three terminals, for a gate electrode, a source electrode, and a drain electrode, at least. Current between the source and the drain is controlled by applying a voltage to the gate electrode. The provided organic thin-film transistor has a charge-injection layer between the organic semiconductor layer and the source electrode, and another between the organic semiconductor layer and the drain electrode. Said charge-injection layers contain a compound represented by formula (1). (1) In the formula, Ar1 is a substituent represented by formula (2). Ar2 is either a C6-60 divalent aromatic hydrocarbon that may have a substituent or a C2-60 divalent aromatic heterocyclic group that may have a substituent. Ar3 is a substituent represented by formula (3), and n is an integer between 1 and 20. (2) (3)
