Abstract:
The invention provides an isolated polypeptide comprising or consisting of an amino acid sequence of QQAVEVWQGLALLSEAVLRGQALLV (SEQ ID NO:30), wherein said amino acid sequence comprises none or one amino acid substitution, deletion, or addition. The polypeptide or a pharmaceutical composition comprising the peptide can be used for wound healing as well as for the prevention, therapeutic treatment or prophylactic treatment of injury, a cardiovascular disease, cardiopulmonary disease, respiratory disease, kidney disease, disease of the urinary system, disease of the reproductive system, bone disease, skin disease, gastrointestinal disease, endocrine abnormality, metabolic abnormality, cognitive dysfunction, ophthalmic disease, liver disease, muscular disorder, autoimmune disease, inflammatory conditions, ischemia, hypoxia, trauma, a disease or disorder in the lung, a disease or disorder in the pancreas, or a disease or disorder in the ear, nose or throat, or a disease or disorder of the central or peripheral nervous system.
