Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reproduce a precise picture by detecting a degree of a warp of an original when reading the original and correcting the warp of the picked-up image in a row direction in response to the degree of the warp so as to apply expansion processing to the picture.
CONSTITUTION: A detection board 9 applies scanning to an original 1 and the height at 10 points on one side are measured through a light emitting element 8a and a light receiving element 8b. A spline interpolation circuit 24 applies 3-dimension spline interpolation processing to the measured data through an A/D converter 23 to obtain shape data of the original 1. The shape data are inputted to a line warp correction rate calculation circuit 26 and an original expansion rate correction circuit 25, the circuit 26 calculates a line warp correction rate and stores it to a memory 27. The circuit 25 calculates a picture expansion rate and stores it in a memory 28. A CCD drive circuit 29 allows a CCD 30 to pick up an image of the original 1 and the data are given to a line bent correction rate calculation circuit 32 via an A/D converter 31 by using a correction rate in the memory 27 thereby implementing the line bend. A picture recovery circuit 33 applies fog recovery processing and uneven brightness correction to the data and a picture expansion circuit 34 applies expansion processing to the data by using the expansion rate stored in the memory 28.
