Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original reader without uneven density of image by detecting a deviation of an optical axis of an optical system so as to move the optical axis and a read sensor in response to the deviation thereby correcting the deviation when a read position is moved relatively.
SOLUTION: A printed circuit board 30 is supported movably in a vertical direction with a couple of guide rails 33, 33 with both side ridges inbetween. A couple of springs 32, 32 whose one side connects to a base are connected to left and right sides of a lower side of the printed circuit board 30 so as to energize the printed circuit board 30 toward the base at all times. A chart or a plurality of patches in an achromatic color are placed on an original face at a uniform density in this state, and read and an output value of each of R, G, B colors at each read location is stored in a memory 37. When no deviation of the optical axis is caused, the output value is the same because the color is achromatic. The deviation in the optical axis is calculated based on an output ratio of each color by an arithmetic circuit 38. A direction in each output is discriminated and when the relation between a ratio of each color and the deviation amount is discriminated, the optical axis deviation amount is immediately detected.
