Abstract:
To provide an ornamental material that can be used for accessories or the like and emit different lights and colors under the visible light, black light (ultraviolet) or infrared light.
The ornamental material is composed of a single crystal of a composition expressed by R13(Ga1-x, R2x)5O12, where 0≤x≤0.02, and R1 and R2 are composed of at least one kind of rare-earth element selected from Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu.
