Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillating step motor of a rotation detection type high in reliability capable of dealing with various behaviors occurred such as collision of a rotor against a tooth tip of a star wheel so as to cause the stop of the rotor in the next step due to the fact that a rotor does not operate because of the adherence of an oil or the like to a rotation regulating member and the transmission of a drive pulse having insufficient energy.SOLUTION: An insufficient rotation of a rotor is corrected by a correction pulse having high energy unless an electric current is detected to flow toward a positive direction in a first detection section TA and the electric current is detected to flow toward the positive direction in a second detection section TB after a drive pulse is applied. An initial position return pulse reverse to the drive pulse is applied to the rotor for the purpose of assisting the return operation by which the rotor directs toward an initial position after a correction pulse having high energy is applied.
