This oscillator 1A includes: a base 6; one support part 5A projected from the base 6; one driving oscillation pieces 3A, 3B extended from one support part 5A; the other support part 5B projected from the base 6; driving oscillation pieces 3C, 3D extended from the other support part 5B; and detecting oscillation pieces 2A, 2B extended from the base 6. The oscillator is formed along a designated plane (X-Y plane). The oscillator is oscillated in an out-of-plane bending oscillation mode (arrows A, B). In this out-of-plane bending oscillation mode, one support part 5A and the other support part 5B are bent and oscillated in opposite phases toward the substantially vertical direction to a designated plane. The base 6, one driving oscillation pieces 3A, 3B and the other driving oscillation pieces 3C, 3D are respectively provided with nodes 10A, 10B, 10C.
