Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate detection by discriminating other matters description existing in a mark sheet.
SOLUTION: A mark pre-entry dot image of the mark sheet 20 is read by a mark sheet reading part 11, and the obtained print contents and the position of the mark entry portion are stored as comparison information in a comparison information storing part 12. The mark entered dot image is read by the mark sheet reading part 11, and divided into fixed divisions by a division setting part 13a. After that, the proportion X of the number of black dots in the division to the number of all dots in the division is calculated in each division by a proportion calculating part 13b. At the time, using the comparison information, the number of mark black dots in the mark entry portion is taken as a correct entry and subtracted from the number of black dots in the division to calculate the proportion X. When the calculated proportion is less than a fixed value, a determination part 13e determines that no other matters description exists in that division.
