PURPOSE: To miniaturize the space of an outboard engine and as well to eliminate the drainage of oil so that the transport and storage of the engine are simplified, by inclining the axis of a cylinder section with respect to the thrust axis, leftward or rightward at a predetermined angle, and by providing a handle in the inclined direction and as well by providing a support seat on the opposite side.
CONSTITUTION: An outboard engine 1 is removed from a hull and is laid on a floor surface for storage or transport with the seating section 32 of a cover 26 being directed downward. In this case a handle 31 is situated upward on the lateral wall 261 side which is the opposite side of the engine, and therefore, is no hindrance. Therefore, since the cylinder section 201 is upwardly inclined, even though oil in the oil pan 6 extends transversely and is pooled in the lower section, the oil does not enter in, and, as a result, no oil enters into a carburetter 29 and an ignition plug 10. Therefore, it is necessary neither to store nor transfer the engine with the latter being vertically or inclinedly supporting by means of a supporting tool, and as well nor to drain oil from the engine, thereby the engine may be simply stored or transferred with falling sidelong.
