To provide an outdoor unit and an air conditioner provided with an outdoor heat exchanger which does not receive deformation due to a pedestal even when receiving a vertical load.
An outdoor unit 20 is provided with an outdoor heat exchanger 20b that is arranged so as to cover a rear face and a side face of an equipment body 20a and that is constituted with a refrigerant piping 1 having corrugated fins 2 on the circumference thereof. A pedestal 6 is provided on a lower end part of the outdoor heat exchanger 20b, and the outdoor heat exchanger 20b is placed via the pedestal 6 on a projected pedestal 5 formed on a floor face 4 of the equipment body 20a. Thus, there is no situation in which the lower end of the outdoor heat exchanger 20b is deformed, and there is an effect that deformation of an outer plate or that kind such as a top board 8 constituting the equipment body 20a is avoided. A plurality of drain holes that are not shown in the drawings are formed on the face of the pedestal 6, and the water that is drained at the time of the defrost operation is led to the outside of the equipment body 20a via the drain holes and a space 7 without stagnation.
