Abstract:
To obtain an outer deck object detection system of an escalator capable of more surely detecting that an object is placed on an outer deck.SOLUTION: The outer deck object detection system for a passenger conveyor includes a plurality of pressure sensors 17 arranged in a longitudinal direction to respectively detect pressure acting on each of a plurality of portions that are aligned in the longitudinal direction in a lower story side horizontal unit 161 of an outer deck 16 and a determination device 142 for determining that an object is placed on the lower story side horizontal unit 161 of the outer deck 16 when the plurality of pressure sensors 17 aligned in the longitudinal direction sequentially detect the pressure in the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
