Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the need of skill and to enhance the efficiency by always creating closed outline data regardless of somewhat rough work.
CONSTITUTION: A paper pattern 8 where a closed border line 17 (e.g. square) of a piece of cloth for an applique is stuck to a board surface of a digitizer 2, and among corner points C1-C5 which are main points of the border line 17, the corner points C1, C2, C3, C4 except the last corner point C5 are picked up by a pointing device 47. A control device connects the corner points C1-C4 to each other sequentially by a line to create the main part of outline data D1. Subsequently, the last corner point C5 is picked up and the control device is informed of the last pick-up. The control device excludes the last pickuped corner point C5 and connects the second pickuped corner point C4 from the last and the first pickuped corner point C1 to each other by a line to always create closed outline data D1.
