To provide an output control device for an internal combustion engine capable of increasing output by reducing temperature of exhaust gas without separately providing a tank.
This output control device for the internal combustion engine controls output of the internal combustion engine En and includes an exhaust gas temperature measurement means 2 measuring temperature of exhaust gas flowing in an exhaust pipe Ex, a fuel injector 7 provided in the exhaust pipe Ex and injecting fuel in the exhaust pipe Ex, a state determination means 1 determining a current operation state, and an exhaust gas temperature control means 3 controlling temperature of exhaust gas by injecting fuel from the fuel injector 7 when temperature of exhaust gas measured by the exhaust gas temperature measurement means 2 is reference temperature or higher and the state determination means 1 determine that the current operation state is an acceleration state. Output is increased as temperature of exhaust gas is controlled to target temperature or less, and cost is reduced as the tank becomes unnecessary.
