PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output power control apparatus and a method therefor, enabling improvement in both communication sensitivity and communication quality between mobile terminal equipment and a mobile communication system, by detecting the high-frequency signal power radiated from the antenna of the mobile terminal equipment and controlling the output power of the mobile terminal equipment to be constant and stable, based on the detected power value.
SOLUTION: The output power control apparatus for the mobile terminal equipment includes a power amplifying module 230 for amplifying high-frequency signal power, corresponding to a data signal; a transmitter 220 for radiating high-frequency signal, of which the power is amplified by the power amplifying module 230 toward a base station through an antenna 221 of the mobile terminal equipment; and a power compensator 210 for detecting the high-frequency signal power radiated from the antenna 221 for compensating a differential value between the detected power value and a preset reference power value.
