To prevent the depression of the oven bottom at the inside of the oven port of a coke oven carbonization chamber.
In a coke oven wherein a door frame 6 has been installed around the oven port of a coke oven carbonization chamber and the oven bottom of the carbonization chamber inside the door frame 6 have been covered with bricks, the oven bottom is repaired. The door frame 6 is detached from the oven port; heat-resistant cast steel (a1) and bricks (a) of the inside oven bottom are removed; and a supporting rod 12 projecting in the longitudinal direction of the carbonization chamber is fixed to the inside of the under side of the door frame 6. Then, the door frame is attached again to the oven port; a reception metal fitting 13 is set to the supporting rod 12; and new bricks (a) are placed on the reception metal fitting 13 as a substitute for the removed heat-resistant cast steel. Since the oven bottom structure is supported by the door frame 6, the depression of the oven bottom is prevented.
