1531087 Earthing disc records RCA CORPOBATION 4 March 1976 [10 March 1975] 32409/77 Divided out of 1531086 Heading G5R A grooved disc record 13, e.g. of the capacitive-playback video type, on a turntable 12 is earthed, when a lid 11, 18 is closed, by contact with one or more conductive pads 28 carried by spring elements 27 rotatably mounted in the lid, the axis of rotation being substantially coincident with the axis of rotation of the turntable. The lid 11, 18 contains a movable pickup housing 17 and its drive mechanism 46, 48, 49 as described in Specification 1,531,086.
