Title:
OVERHEAT DETERMINING DEVICE AND OVERHEAT ALARMING DEVICE FOR BRAKE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011046270
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a device early detecting that a brake device is under the condition where the temperature of a friction braking member is rapidly rising in short period of time, possibly reaching an overheated state, caused by a defect in a feed path of compressed air.

A control unit 15 determines whether or not the brake device is in a positive pressure stable condition where a pressure P detected by a pressure sensor 12 is positive pressure and a variance between the pressures P detected at a predetermined interval is maintained within a predetermined range. When the duration of the positive pressure stable condition reaches a first reference time, it is determined whether or not the rising rate of the temperature T detected by a temperature sensor 11 is further increasing. If the rising rate of the detected temperature T is increasing, it is determined that a lining 37 is in an overheat condition.
